EDMOND GRANT

October 1, 1937 - November 30, 2025

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Edmond Grant, who left us peacefully on November 30, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on October 1, 1937, in the Parish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, Edmond's life was shaped by deep faith, quiet strength, and a remarkable generosity that touched everyone around him.

Edmond lived a life rooted in love - love for his family, his church, and his community. He was the kind of man who never hesitated to lend a hand, offer a prayer, or share whatever he had with someone in need. His presence brought comfort, his words carried wisdom, and his kindness left an imprint on countless lives.

For 63 years, Edmond was a devoted husband to Norma, his partner, confidant, and greatest blessing. Together they built a family grounded in the same values he lived by every day. He leaves behind his four children-Audrey, Fitz, Pauline, and Paul-who will forever be guided by his example. He also leaves his grandchildren-Taylor, Justin, Monique, and Steven - who each carry a piece of his spirit forward. Edmond is also survived by his siblings, Delores Maybel, Dawn and Lester, whose bond with him remained strong across years and distance. He now joins his parents, Mercella and Septmus, who preceded him in death.

A funeral service to celebrate Edmond's life will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery on December 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., with cremation to follow at a later date. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the compassionate healthcare providers at Victoria Hospital who cared for Edmond with dignity and kindness.

Though he is no longer with us, Edmond's legacy of love, faith, and generosity lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I will miss Uncle Ed dearly. His voice, always sounding excited to hear from me on our phone calls and always happy to see me when I would come to visit. His laugh instantly made everyone who heard it laugh as well. He served God faithfully which one could see in the way he lived his life. I remember going to his home in childhood which holds special memories. Blessings to my family and all those who are grieving. The funeral service was such a beautiful tribute to his life. Until we meet again Uncle. - Posted by: Beverly Grant (Niece) on: Dec 12, 2025

  • I'm saddened about the loss of Edmond. He was a gentle, loving and kind friend. He will always be remembered that way. We will meet again when Jesus comes. - Posted by: Barbara (Friend) on: Dec 12, 2025

  • It is with great sadness that I send my condolences to the family of my great friend and golf partner. My friendship with Edmond goes back to 1971 while he was a guest at my wedding. Since that time I have grown to love and appreciate the gentleness and genuine friend he has been. In around the last twelve years we both discovered we have an interest in golfing so we got into practicing together. Its amazing how the bond of friendship can deepen on a golf course. During the time of Covid 19 I was out of the country on vacation. But my return time got extended due to travel restrictions. Upon my return, I found that Edmond had planted tomatoes and squash in the garden. Edmond, you are deeply missed but the memory of you will remain till we meet again.
